LHICS (Lung Health and Intensive Care Society) was established in Ankara on December 16, 2012, with the signatures of 50 founding members from various provinces and centers of Turkey.
Our association is a professional organization where healthcare professionals from all fields can become members as legal entities, focusing on legal and ethical studies related to lung health and intensive care.
We organize conferences, panels, seminars, courses, and congresses to develop pre- and post-graduate training programs for professionals in the field. Additionally, we conduct similar events synchronously or asynchronously online. The meetings held in different regions of our country at different times aim to disseminate current developments to all physicians under the name "Respiratory Meetings."
Since 2015, our members have been served by "Lung Bulletin," a periodical publication issued three times a year by LHICS. This publication, designed for professionals working in the field of lung health and intensive care, provides easily readable, practical information, including new, spotlighted information, cases, practical questions, anecdotes, and news.
The "Current Chest Diseases Series" books, prepared with a multidisciplinary perspective on updated topics in our field, have been published three times a year since 2013.
There are 15 scientific boards. These boards facilitate focused research, education, and collaboration in their respective fields, ensuring comprehensive coverage and expertise within our organization.
